The biennial gastronomic event of the "Salone del Gusto"is almost
upon us and, as in all the past editions,
Beppino Occelli will
be present with
his stand where it will be
possible to
purchase the entire range of his cheeses
and there will be the opportunity
to taste the latest
offerings of the Company,
from the ripe ricotta to
the magnificent trio of the veined
cheeses.
The Beppino Occelli stand can be found in Pavilion 2 (F16-17-18-19-20-21) and, as always will be
furnished with
several convivial tables for the reception of visiting journalists, customers and friends. Over the five days at Lingotto (21-25 October),
the stand will also
host some special friends. On
Friday 22 October, the celebrated brewer Teo Musso will present
the beer he has produced
in Piozzo especially
to accompany the cheeses of Beppino Occelli. The
event will
begin at 4 p.m. and Davide Borra has
promised to
come along and
entertain us, between
a sip of beer
and a nibble of cheese, with his acrobatic
accordion.On
Saturday 23rd, the versatile journalist
and actor Bruno Gambarotta
will, in his own inimitable way, take over the
stand. Around 4.30 p.m., journalists and gourmets
can enjoy some cheese
tasting with European
and American
cheeses that
have been left
to mature for
over a year in the cellars of Valcasotto . On this occasion we
will be
honoured with
the presence of Father Marek
Eugeniuz Wlodarczyk,
abbot of the Cistercian monastery at Szczyrzycu in Poland where, with
the support of Beppino Occelli, the Slow Food movement
has initiated
the protection of the "Polish red cow", the last examples of which are entirely concentrated on the meadows belonging to
the Polish Monastery
near Cracow.On
Sunday 24th October, in the afternoon,
the popular,
well-known musical band the "Trelilu",will make their
appearance and between
one glass of wine and piece of cheeseand another will not fail
to entertain
the friends of the stand and thepublic at large with a few of their songs.
