YOUR RECIPE ON TV FINAL JUDGING EVENT AT EATALY ROME AND THE WINNER IS... BARBARA CIORBA!
Here’s what Umberto Milano, the Head of Marketing at Beppino Occelli and member of the jury at the final event, had to say:
“It went great, and it was really difficult, that’s why we’re so satisfied!
In agreement with Eataly and Alice TV, we came up with the idea of an invention test, consisting of the contestants being asked to create a specific theme recipe – “Sweet Piedmont” (Ed.) – without revealing the ingredients and the equipment they were provided with before the test.
The five finalists measured up to the test perfectly, getting involved and interpreting the ingredients of the Piedmont region: Beppino Occelli “Fresh Cream” Stelle Alpine Butter, PDI Piemonte hazelnuts, chocolate macaroons, conjuring up some absolutely amazing desserts in just two hours.
Deciding the winner wasn’t easy at all for the jury, that consisted of: Francesca Topi (Alice tv Channel Manager), Giulio Rossi, “Ricette della Nonna” (Grandma’s Recipes site) and myself, but in the end we were knocked out by Barbara Ciorba’s “Bocconotto” with Occelli Butter stuffed with hazelnuts and Mou, for originality, taste and television appeal "
“To conclude – continues Umberto Milano – sincere thanks go to all five contestants, to Elisa Donaggio and all the staff of Eataly Rome who provided us with a splendid location, to Francesca Topi and staff of Alice TV for their availability and precious advice, and to our cookery consultant and blogger Giulio Rossi.
Don’t miss out on the episode of Casa Alice to be broadcast in December, where you’ll see Barbara Ciorba making her Cusiè and Pumpkin Soufflé with Losa di Vacca fondue and Pomegranate .. !
